Purple Heart by Patricia McCormick

In the begining of Purple Heart the story starts off with the main character Matt Duffy (18) in the U.S. hospital in Iraq. Matt does not remember anything, has no strength to do anything and he's having cognitive problems. The doctor diagnoses him with TBI Traumatic Brain Injury. Matt soon finds out that the hospital he's in is a walled compund inside Baghdad where Saddam Hussein once lived. The hospital portion was a hospital for Saddam and his closest friends, Now it is occupied by the Central Provisional Authority. Matts friend Justin visits him in the hospital and starts to talk to him about what had happened and Matt dosn't remember anything. Justin informs him that him and his troops followed and Orange and Yellow taxi down an alley way and they men inside it stormed off into a building, the troops go out of their hummer to follow them and men armed with AK-47s started to open fire out of the windows. They started to retreat to the hummer and they were hit with an RPG Rocket-propelled grenade and mat was launched into the air.

So far I enjoy this book it had a slow start but now it's picking up and things are starting to make more sense. I predict that Matt will recover from his TBI and he will be sent back out on the front lines. He will become schizophrenic and meander into haji territory. Matt will become a POW and he will become insane and bomb himself and the haji's he's surrounding.
